For Carnaval, pianist Marie François invited poet Maarten Goethals to write a new series of poems inspired by Saint-Saëns’s Le Carnaval des Animaux. The texts became the basis for a performance with actor Koen De Bouw and were later brought together in this book, with illustrations by Tom Liekens.

For The Seasons, pianist Marie François and production house Vonk & Zonen invited Joke van Leeuwen, Lize Spit, Max Temmerman and Ester Naomi Perquin, together with illustrator Juliane Noll, to respond to Tchaikovsky’s twelve-part piano cycle. Following the rhythm of its original publication 150 years ago, a new recording, poem and illustration appeared each month. This book brings the full year together in piano, poetry and images, and includes twelve postcards featuring Juliane Noll’s illustrations, ready to be sent out into the world.
